Program: FISH Food Bank

Our food bank has been offering food to Pierce County families and individuals for over 20 years.  Families find a dignified environment where they can “shop” for a generous 3-day supply of food every 30 days.  We are one of the few food banks that have fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy and eggs, and meat for our guests.

Our food bank is open twice a week and we serve over 100 families each week.  We handle an average of 26,000 pounds of food each month.

Some of our partners include the Emergency Food Network, Northwest Harvest, FISH Food Banks, Trader Joe’s in University Place and Albertson’s in University Place. Other partners include Mount Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, University Place Presbyterian Church, the U.S. Postal Food Drive, University Place School District, City of University Place, and University Place Refuse who all sponsor food drives.
