The Families Unlimited Network mission is “Rebuilding families for Lifetime Transformation”. Program strategies target families undergoing economic distress due to a loss of employment or underemployment, the stress of single parenting, and the need for school-aged youth to develop ongoing relationships with caring adults in a safe structured environment during non-school hours. The vision of FUN embraces families in economic and relational distress and strives to build healthy families within the context of Christ-centered community.
There is a growing need! FUN's food bank continues to serve more and more families including those working in military jobs, jobs without livable wages, and those seeking employment in this tough economy.
During April, 82 new families came to the foodbank.
Our programs strive to meet the basic human needs of low income, high-risk families, while providing intensive case management that will support families moving from crisis to stability. Our programs are designed to engage families in obtaining food, energy or rent assistance, advocacy support, and after-school tutoring for children in grades 5-7 and move them beyond “bandaging” into more permanent solutions and long-term stability for their families.
- Summer Spot Program - July 14 to August 22
