Expanding our crop!

Families Unlimited Network is adding a vegetable garden to our Food Bank! The harvested produce is dedicated to the Food Bank and distributed to local families in need.

The benefits of the Food Garden are boundless. It stimulates social interaction, beautifies the neighborhood and produces nutritious foods for folks who really need it. We look forward to watching it grow.

Very special and heartfelt thanks to Angi Unger, our Food Bank Manager, the generous folks at Home Depot, City of Tacoma and Gray Lumber, who donated much needed supplies and FUN volunteers Jim, Chuck, Amalia and Doug for serious physical labor!

We hope to build more raised beds on the back side of the building, so any support/donations would be greatly appreciated and put to wonderful use.

UPDATE: Thanks to the generosity of Lowes off of South Orchard we've been able to add 3 more planing beds off to the side of our building. This brings our total raised beds up to 8! The community support has been fantastic!!!
