Fall is here and so is our great Pacific Northwest weather.
It is getting increasingly colder, foggier and darker earlier. Hot tea and cocoa, cozy blankets and comfort foods come to mind. It is at this time I ask that you remember our families in need who don’t have all of the comforts we do. I am happy to announce that recently the University Place Refuse Company has added a Good Will Donation bin to their site for any of the clothing and blankets you may wish to donate this cold and blustery season.
As for events:
- There is an Art Show/Fundraiser at Brassfield’s Salon on October 16th that benefits EFN (Emergency Food Network) which in turn benefits ALL of the food banks in Pierce County.
- We are involved with the Smoke on the Water Chili cook-off on October 24th at the Narrows Brewery – come check it out.
- The United Way of Pierce County is sending their SECOND awesome crew to help out doing chores at the food bank this month.
There is plenty to keep you busy this season so stay safe, warm and dry, and enjoy the changing color of the leaves.
