Emergency Financial Assistance: Preventing Homelessness
The Mission: Providing the urgent intervention necessary to keep families in their homes.
One unexpected expense, like a medical emergency, car trouble, or fewer work hours, can quickly lead to eviction. Our Emergency Financial Assistance program steps in early to stop that from happening.
We offer limited financial help with rent and utilities to people living in University Place and Fircrest. This support is more than just a payment—it helps families get back on their feet.
Our team also provides financial coaching and helps families connect with other resources to move from a short-term crisis to long-term stability.
You may be eligible for assistance if:

You are a resident of University Place or Fircrest (98466/98467)

Received a vacate notice (rent)
-
Received a shut off notice (utility)
-
Has not received assistance from our organization within the last 12 months
Families Unlimited Network will only assist with rent or utilities, not both.
The following information is required for the review process:​​

Identification - Driver's License, State ID, Passport, etc.

Shut off notice - Utilities

Copy of lease
-
Copy of outstanding balance
Once we review your application, you will receive an email from our Administrator with more details. You'll be prompted to submit all documents in PDF format. If you have documents in a hard copy, please utilize the following apps to scan your documents into a PDF format:

Submitting an application does not guarantee assistance. Please allow 5-7 business days for someone to be in contact with you.
Once your application is received, our administrator will contact you for an intake interview. Once your intake interview is complete and we've received all required information, we will begin the review process.​
