Our summer meal kicked off July 1st this year at Hidden Hills Apartments. The first day we of the program we served 32 meals directly to the kids, who were waiting so patiently for us to show up!
In 2018 when we first began delivering meals to Hidden Hills we provided meals every Monday, Wednesday, & Friday. When the summer ended we had provided over 1500 meals. We made the decision this year to expand our programming to Monday-Friday and are averaging about 300 meals per week! PLUS we've added a new location for summer meals as well!
On July 22nd we'll be setting up at University Place Primary School (UPP) to pass out meals as well. We know that there is more hunger in this community beyond Hidden Hills and as we continue to address where that hunger exists, UPP will serve as a great location to help this program grow and evolve. Meals will be available from 1pm - 1:30pm at UPP.

We of course want to thank Olympic View Baptist Church for letting us take over their kitchen to prepare these meals. Also special thanks to Hidden Hills Apartments, and the University Place School District for allowing us to be present on their property and pass out food!
